Annabelle DeSisto is a podcast host, writer, comedian, entrepreneur and single cat mother of 3 living in Los Angeles, CA. Annabelle previously wrote for her comedy idol Joan Rivers on Fashion Police on E! and is currently writing on Page Six TV.

In 2016 Annabelle created “ADDERALL AND COMPLIMENTS” a weekly podcast where she discusses pop culture, mental health, the Real Housewives, politics, crystals, and anything and everything in between. ADDERALL AND COMPLIMENTS is co-hosted by Annabelle’s Emotional Support Human Meagan Grainger who is also a writer and comedian with a master's degree in Psychology and host of the weekly podcast "Superficial Magic.” Annabelle was forced into making her first podcast by her mommager (and frequent guest of the podcast) Fancy Nancy to help get her out of a deep depression. Annabelle was feeling hopeless and the podcast gave her a purpose and an opportunity to do something that she loves- talk about pop culture and make people laugh.

Listeners of ADDERALL AND COMPLIMENTS are lovingly referred to as "Kittens" and describe the podcast as “Miss Clearwater 2007’s take on living in LA without ever leaving her couch. Half pop culture, half therapy session, but 100% hilarious” and "It is the most amazing, hilarious, self deprecating, heartfelt, makes you feel like every bad and good thing you’ve ever felt is okay. It’s a conversations with your two best friend who aren’t afraid to tell it like it is.”

Guests on ADDERALL AND COMPLIMENTS have included celebrities like Spencer Pratt (The Hills), Kristen Doute (Vanderpump Rules), Lea Black (Real Housewives of Miami), Taylor Strecker (Wake Up With Taylor), Amy Phillips (Watch What Happens Live), Stassi Schroeder (Vanderpump Rules), and John Fugelsang (Page Six TV). Other guests include Annabelle’s comedian friends and even her own psychiatrist from the Amen Clinic.

In 2017 ADDERALL AND COMPLIMENTS began doing live shows with meet in greets in cities like Boston and Chicago. Annabelle and Meagan want to connect to their kitten listeners aka "friends in their head” by meeting them IRL.

The ADDERALL AND COMPLIMENTS Kittens private Facebook group was created by Annabelle to be a safe space for podcast listeners aka Kittens to connect and it has become an incredibly active and close-knit community with over 4000 kittens strong. They discuss celebrities, politics, personal difficulties and accomplishments, ask for advice, talk about mental health, post photos of their cats, and discuss crystals.

Annabelle’s fascination with crystals began a few years ago when after picking up a rose quartz pyramid at the Melrose Trading Post she landed the job of her dreams writing for Joan Rivers. She was hooked and once the kittens heard about the crystals on the podcast they wanted in too! Annabelle made the Basic Essentials Crystal Kit which she began selling online. The crystal kit was a huge hit and the kittens were wanting more so Annabelle made a Manifestation Kit, Healing Kit, and Halloween Collection (since Halloween is her Christmas). After she began shipping the crystals to kittens all over the world, she began getting emails that after getting the kits a kitten’s boyfriend proposed and one kitten in financial distress won the lottery after receiving her Manifestation Kit!

Annabelle’s goal with the podcast, the live shows, the Facebook group, and the crystals is to connect to other kittens. Annabelle and Meagan both say that doing the podcast has literally saved their lives. They went into detail about this in Episode 58 of Adderall and Compliments- the Mental Health Episode. After that episode aired in May 2017 the feedback was amazing. Kittens everywhere felt like they finally could relate to someone and didn't feel so alone and it also gave many the courage to seek help. Annabelle and Meagan continue to inspire, connect, and most importantly help their audience laugh through the hard times and realize that life is worth living.
